There’s a lot of snowfall in winter when it’s peak season for skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports. By air

The nearest airport is Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton (ABE) airport which is 26.2 miles away. Other nearby airports include Newark (EWR), 57.5 miles, New York La Guardia (LGA), 71.3 miles, Philadelphia (PHL), 77.1 miles and New York JFK (JFK), 78.2 miles.

From New York City

Martz Bus operates an hourly bus to Stroudsburg/ Delaware Water Gap. The journey takes 1h 20m.

Drivetime is also around 1 hour and 20 minutes

From Philadelphia

The best way to travel without a car from Philadelphia is by train to New York Penn Station and by bus from New York City. Total journey time takes around 3 hours. 

Greyhound USA operates a bus from Philadelphia Bus Station to Mt Pocono once daily. The journey takes 4 hours and 25 minutes.

Drivetime from Philadelphia to the Pocono Mountains is approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes.
